Who's Dan?

Today, NASA astronauts train
at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab. Before that, they trained on
the "Vomit Comet," a retrofitted
KC-135 flown to create periods of weightlessness. I had the privilege of flying on the Vomit Comet before its retirement.
It was an unforgettable experience, and I helped the airplane live up to its name.

It's ironic that a website dedicated to the reader has a section about the writer. So this page will answer these questions (Is the guy who thinks he knows so much about writing full of crap? Or does he know what he's doing?). You be the judge.

My 25+ years of experience include account director, strategic planner, and writer in advertising and marketing since co-founding an ad agency in college (1987). I've had the privilege of working for some great Midwestern ad agencies—including one that Ad Age Magazine named Small Ad Agency of the Year. As a freelancer, I've been a writer, contributor, senior writer, and contributing editor for magazines in the aviation and financial services fields. I've won two Best of Show awards for creative writing from the Insurance and Financial Communicators Association (IFCA).

Here are a few samples.
